Here is one of the best Khndzoresk Cloudbands I have ever seen. Armenians call it “Vishapagorg” or dragon rug. Very unique with one-and-a half medallions. Full pile in perfect condition. Dated 1881 with the Armenian inscription “Ժամանակը թանկ է” which roughly translates to “Time is expensive”. Charming human figures and animals woven in the borders and throughout and salt bags. Gorgeous colors. The height of Caucasian village weaving. 8' x 4'8"
